Digital transformation in air travel at pre-flight stage

This paper will focus on the pre-flight stage in the air travel process. Firstly, some existing digital tools in air travel will be investigated and analyzed. Specifically, these digital tools will be some air travel applications like the Dangerous Goods (Australia), My TSA (USA), Airbag (France) and NCL Airport App (UK). 

These air travel digital tools are compared based on their purpose, using steps, advantages and disadvantages, limitations and passenger experience. Secondly, after identifying the disadvantages and defects in the current air travel applications, a more effective and smart digital application will be developed to help the air travel process run more smoothly at the pre-flight stage. 

The new digital application could provide passengers with check-in and security check information by simply scanning their luggage. By applying this new air travel application, passenger satisfaction could be improved and the effectiveness in the aviation industry could also be increased.
