State and prospects of development of passenger transportation of UIA airline. Problems of systemic approach in the economy
Aviation business is considered as one of the most complex types of business worldwide. It is very financial-intensive, extremely low-margin and one of the most systematic businesses. There are electronic ticket sales, as well as European security protocols, which you must follow in your business activity. The aviation industry has a positive effect on the development of the tourism business and international trade, contributes to increasing the investment attractiveness of the country, as well as expanding the capabilities of international companies on its territory. The aviation industry provides extremely fast delivery of goods to their destination, causing the widespread use of aviation transport by leading international logistics companies. For Ukraine, the aviation sector is also an important element of integration into the modern system of international economic relations. In the first half of 2019, 6096.3 thousand passengers used the services of Ukrainian airlines. This is 11.4 percent more than in the same period last year. The development of the aviation industry in general and passenger transportation has become one of the priorities of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine for the next five years. The agency is going to develop regional airports, introduce new domestic and international flights, as well as increase the availability of flights for Ukrainians. The leader among them is Ukraine's International Airlines, which transported 65% of the total passenger flow. In 2018, the financial position of the company is not in the best condition, for the year the carrier received almost $ 100 million in loss. In 2019, the president of the company stated that UIA would concentrate on stabilizing its financial position. UIA is currently operating in a network carrier model. UIA has built a hub model at Boryspil Airport, which provides about 9,000 jobs. It is very important for the state to have its representative offices in the form of its national airline in all world locations. If Ukraine has a developed national airline, it will be perceived as a developed industrial country. In addition, today, when the whole country is undergoing many transformation processes, we have every chance to create a fully competitive aviation market and develop a European logistics hub in Ukraine.
